About Eleanor
My name is Eleanor and I have been studying Oriental Dance since the age of 13. I was tutored by Jenny Muhlwa (Belrobics) for more than seven years learning a range of styles and techniques. From then I started teaching classes in Sheffield and developed as a performer in restaurants and with my dance troupe, Yalla Danse Souers. In that time I performed on National TV for Children in need, at the Olympic Torch Relay, at weddings and many more events. In 2012 I went to Turkey to further this knowlege with tuition from Ozlem coming back with a distinctively Turkish taste to my dancing. Later that year I went on to be cast as the leading role in "Sleeping Beauty the Bellydance" which recieved rave reviews from critics.
I think Belly Dancing is a way for ALL women to gain confidence and stay healthy. It is one of the oldest recorded forms of dance and has spread across the globe taking on aspects of each country, making it hugely diverse and exciting. There is so much to learn, it is a whole culture not just a dance.
